A couple of important things in the ESFA update soon to be DfE update, when ESFA are subsumed into the department at the end of the month
Allocation Statements are starting to land and should be read alongside the Allocation toolkit
ESFA (or DfE Post 16 teams as it will be) aim to issue most allocations by the end of April 2025. You will receive a notification once your allocation statement is available on Document exchange in the ‘documents received from ESFA’ section.
ESFA have changed the deadline for business cases for academic year 2025 to 2026 and we will now only accept cases submitted within 4 weeks of your allocation statement being issued. We will not be able to consider late cases. Whilst the thresholds remain the same for academic year 2025 to 2026, we now calculate them using your total programme funding amount.
We are currently working up business case submissions for a small number of clients, if you are a non-client and have concerns about your allocation please contact Paul Hanks for advice guidance and hopefully the support of Pro 16 plus in dealing with the issues
For Business Managers and finance officers you may find the following useful for explaining how the additional NI contributions funding is being managed via the NIC grant
Post-16 National Insurance contributions (NICs) grant – GOV.UK
If you have a problem or think you may have an problem with your allocation please feel free to get in touch and we can discuss the issue and how to tackle it
