Important Update: Care to Learn and 16 to 19 Bursary Fund (Defined Vulnerable Groups)

From the 2025 to 2026 academic year, changes have been made to how providers access funding for the Care to Learn scheme and the 16 to 19 Bursary Fund – defined vulnerable groups element.

These changes are outlined in the funding rules for each scheme, and we encourage all providers to familiarise themselves with the updated guidance.

Second Funding Claim Window Now Open

The second window for submitting new funding claim forms is now open.

You can use this window to:

1. Submit new funding claims that were not submitted during the first claim window

Please note:

1. You cannot amend or adjust any claims already submitted in the first window
2. Adjustments will only be permitted in the third claim window later in the year
3. The only exception is where we have contacted you regarding a first-window submission and have agreed that it may be resubmitted in this second window

Submission Deadline

🗓 Deadline:
5:00pm on Wednesday 11 February 2026

Late submissions will not be accepted, so please ensure your claim is completed and submitted in good time.
